# AI Summary & Tags

> Every conversion auto-generates a smart summary and semantic tags.

## Overview

Starting in v0.6, every conversion automatically generates a short summary and a set of semantic tags. No configuration needed — Web2MD handles everything behind the scenes so you can scan your history at a glance.

  AI Summary & Tags is a **Pro-only** feature. Free users see a blurred preview with an upgrade prompt.

## How it works

    Convert any webpage using the popup, keyboard shortcut, or context menu — the usual flow.

  <Step title="Summary is generated automatically">
    After conversion completes, Claude Haiku generates a 1–2 sentence summary and 3–5 semantic tags based on the extracted content.
  </Step>

  <Step title="View in Preview Card or History">
    The summary and tags appear directly in the Preview Card and in your History list.
  </Step>

## What you get

## Where summaries appear

| **History list**   | Summary snippet under each entry, tags for quick filtering |
| **History search** | Click a tag to find all conversions with that topic        |

## Free vs Pro

## Zero configuration

There is nothing to set up. You don't need to provide an API key or enable a toggle — AI Summary & Tags runs automatically on every conversion for Pro users.

  Tags are a fast way to build a searchable knowledge base. Over time, your History becomes a topic-indexed library of everything you've converted.
