How it works

1

Select your AI platform

At the top of the Convert tab, choose your preferred AI platform from the platform selector.
2

Pick a prompt template

Optionally select a prompt template to wrap your content with instructions.
3

Convert & send

Click Convert — the page is converted to Markdown, the template is applied, and the content is injected into your AI platform’s chat input in a new tab.

Fallback behavior

If the injection fails (e.g. the AI platform changes its interface), Web2MD falls back gracefully:
  1. Copies the content to your clipboard
  2. Opens the AI platform in a new tab
  3. Shows a notification: “Content copied! Press Ctrl+V to paste”

Prompt templates

Combine Send to AI with Prompt Templates to automatically wrap your content with instructions like “Summarize this article” or “Extract key points”. When a template is selected, the content is wrapped with your prompt before being sent:
Please summarize the following article concisely:

Auto send

Enable Auto send to AI to automatically send content to your preferred platform after every conversion — no extra click needed.
